MHD HEAT TRANSFER IN A LIQUID FILM OVER AN UNSTEADY STRETCHING SHEET IN THE PRESENCE OF NON-UNIFORM HEAT SOURCE/SINK

Abstract

In this paper, an analysis has been carried out to study the magnetohydrodynamics boundary layer flow and heat transfer characteristics of laminar liquid film over a flat stretching sheet in the presence of a non-uniform heat source/sink for two different temperature (a) variable wall temperature(VWT) (b) variable heat flux(VHF). The governing unsteady boundary layer equations in the form of partial differential equations is converted to non-liner ordinary differential  equations using similarity transformation. These equations are solved numerically by fourth-order Runge- Kutta and shooting technique. The effect of magnetic and non-uniform heat source/sink parameters is discussed. The results thus obtained are presented graphically and discussed.
